Programmer Analyst, Business Central and Power Platform Specialist

Job description

Reporting to the Director of Technology and Innovation, the Programmer Analyst, Business Central and Power Platform Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, tracking and optimizing BIXI Montréal’s technology products developed both in-house and in SaaS mode.

This person will provide advanced technical support to the development teams and users of IT tools, participate in the technical and commercial analysis of the company’s digital transformation projects, and work with project stakeholders to identify and implement innovative solutions according to their needs.

This is a 24-month contract position. We seek a start date in March 2025.

What you will do:

Monitor and analyze technology innovations

• Identify technology innovation opportunities for BIXI Montreal, in collaboration with the departmental team,

• Understand and communicate with stakeholders on business requirements for innovation projects, in order to translate them into solutions on Dynamics Business Central solutions

• Perform technical analyses of identified technological solutions, including Microsoft Business Central, Power Platform and Dynaway, during IT projects in collaboration with their assigned project managers

• Develop action plans related to the implementation of technological innovation solutions using the various tools available (e.g.: Microsoft solutions). Microsoft solutions)

Develop solutions and tools

• Design, code, test and deploy technology solutions used by the company in collaboration with internal development teams;

• Participate in the development of new functionalities and the improvement of existing IT products at BIXI by writing high-quality code;

• Guarantee the quality of internal solutions and improvements developed by validating the use of good development practices;

• Carry out quality control of code written by the team (performance validation and maintainability) and keep them informed of your observations

• Establish and encourage the use of CI/CD pipelines during the development, testing and deployment of technology solutions

• Enhance the functionality and interoperability of Dynamics Business Central using Dataverse and Power Platform for seamless data flow and process automation

• Develop comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes and procedures for the department’s technology solutions and working methods.

Job requirements

Training and experience

• -Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field

• At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in technology product development or business analysis (SaaS environment, an asset)

• Advanced knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI

• Experience in integrating management systems (Microsoft Azure, Power Platform and Dynaway) and Microsoft Azure with Dataverse and Power Platform.

• In-depth knowledge of software development and coding languages (e.g. C#, JavaScript, and Python)

• Mastery of Microsoft Azure both in implementing and supporting its solutions

• Experience in integration

• Microsoft Azure certifications

• Experience managing and/or participating in projects implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure

• Strategic vision: act in accordance with the organization’s short, medium and long-term orientations, while ensuring that technological initiatives are in line with BIXI’s overall direction

• Analytical and summarizing skills: understand the technical aspects of the organization’s digital transformation projects.

• Organizational skills: work on several files at once in a dynamic and fast-changing environment

• Communication skills: e ability to effectively popularize intangible technical concepts to audiences uninitiated with IT vocabulary (project stakeholders)

• Pedagogy/Andragogy: lead interactive and engaging training sessions on product functionalities for users and end users of IT solutions

• Skills development: interest in the continuous development of professional skills and in mastering new technologies/new training practices
