Reporting to the Road Operations Assistant Director, the Road Operations Supervisor is responsible for training, supervising and managing driver performance indicators.

Job requirements

What you will do :

  • Manages ongoing employee training, in compliance with existing programs and procedures, and participates in the improvement and compliance of ongoing driver training methods.

  • Manages and analyzes driver performance using KPIs, and identifies driver training needs.

  • Identifies training needs for their team based on performance indicators.

  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations on the road, and manages CSST cases administratively in collaboration with Human Resources.

  • Coordinates team leaders and supervises drivers

  • Disciplinary follow-ups

  • Manages customer complaints

  • Carries out roadside visits in the greater Montreal area and elsewhere, notably Sherbrooke, in order to carry out audits, identify areas for improvement and develop training for their team.

  • Maintains a close relationship with subcontractors to ensure optimized performance of Bixi Montréal services.

  • Manages and motivates the team to achieve set objectives and initiates action plans required to reach these objectives.

  • Participates in equipment improvement and optimization with the fleet supervisor.

  • Encourages teamwork, initiative, excellence and employee commitment

  • Participates in their team human resource management, including hiring and interviewing, performance appraisal, disciplinary management, and ensures health and safety in operations.

  • Performs all other related tasks as assigned

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience may compensate for lack of degree)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing and operations experience in staff management (coaching and supervision)

  • Good management of priorities, available, autonomous

  • Ability to motivate and communicate effectively

  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to manage stress

  • Valid class 5 driver’s licence and good driving record (SAAQ)

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite and comfortable with IT tools
